Repairs start with finding out what is actually wrong. Two machines with the same symptom often need completely different work, so I diagnose first and explain what I found in plain language before any repair goes ahead. You will know what the problem is, what fixing it involves, and whether it is worth fixing.

Common questions

What happens if the device cannot be repaired economically?

You get the diagnosis and a straight recommendation either way. If the repair costs more than the machine is worth, I will tell you, and I can help you move your data onto a replacement instead.

Do you work on Macs as well as PCs?

Yes — Windows, macOS, and Linux, on both desktops and laptops.

Is my data safe during a repair?

Your data is treated as confidential and is not accessed beyond what the repair requires. Where a repair puts data at risk, I will discuss backing it up first.
